Art and intercultural communication

Course description

Apart from art being a tool by which you can express yourself, it is also acts as a means of non-verbal communication

In this course we will work with art and communication in various ways, the goal being to find ways to better communicate with people from other cultures who use other languages and come from diverse backgrounds.

Doing such helps a person develop a balance between self-care and care in everyday working life, a condition that in a global world that has become more international, and so intercultural, is of increasing value.

The course offers the participants methodologies for learning to understand which element of their language make it difficult for them to work with others.

The participants can familiarize themselves with the roots of non-violent communication, and practice the condition of not taking criticism and attacks personally.

The goals are to create diminished altercations, shorten conflicts that produce creative results, learn how to recreate the rules to build consistent and sustainable agreement, to develop a culture of empathy, to make decisions based on needs, and in so doing contribute to a culture of non-violence within both the zone of the workplace and beyond.
